Until now, DoTreat has offered client notifications and reminders via email. Although email is a great and cost-effective option, we understand many of our users would prefer to have the SMS option to minimize the risk of clients missing out on appointments. It is a well-known fact in the industry that clients are far less likely to overlook a text message via SMS than an email.
SMS notifications will be available in a select number of countries. It will also be possible to configure whether SMS and/or email messaging should be used when booking or changing an appointment, as well as sending an automatic reminder ahead of the appointment.
This feature will enable you to charge your clients directly via DoTreat. The payout will then be made from DoTreat directly to your bank account.
You will also have the option to request a down payment when a client first makes an appointment. Requiring down payments can be an effective way to minimize no-shows.
If your salon does not have a dedicated homepage but requires a bit more than the online booking page that DoTreat currently provides, we will soon offer an extended homepage option.
This homepage will be very easy to configure and won't require any web development skills whatsoever. From this homepage, your clients will be able to easily navigate to the online booking page to make appointments with your salon.
If you've hired your own web developer, we're pleased to announce that we will be offering an API that will allow you to integrate your own webpage into the DoTreat appointment system.
The API will enable your homepage to provide the same booking capabilities as the online booking page provided by DoTreat.
